Explorers Meeting 30th May

Hi all


Explorers this week (Wednesday 30th May) we are splitting into 2 groups and will are either CLIMBING or CATAPULT MAKING. The groups will then swap round on the 20th June so you will get all do both activites. See your emails for which group you are in.

CLIMBING
Meet and pick up from Hut 6:30pm-9pm NOTE EARLIER MEETING TIME! Wear outdoor clothes and trainers
CARAPULT MAKING
Meet and pick up from the Hut 7-9pm Wear outdoor clothes

Explorers ARE meeting this week

As spoken about last week, due to the unfortunate cancellation of last weekends Canoe Camp we ARE have a meeting this WEDNESDAY 23rd MAY.
We will be having an Olympic themed night...not quite sure what that means yet but I'm sure we will figure something out...
Meet and pick up from the hut 7-9pm. Uniform shirt & scarf to be worn.

Cancellation of Canoe camp!

Hi Guys
Unfortunately due to the continuing high water levels the Environment Agency are still advising that non powered boast (i.e. canoes) should not be used on the River Thames and therefore I am having to CANCEL this coming weekends canoe camp.

This is really frustrating and annoying but it will be too dangerous for us to paddle. I will however do my best to reschedule Canoe Camp for a weekend in September and I will let you all know as soon as I have confirmed dates.
I the meantime, please let me know if you would like a refund or alternatively whether you would like the Unit to hold on to your money for the rescheduled camp in September.

Explorers meeting 16th May

Explorers this week (Wednesday 16th May) is the second part of ROCKET MAKING, so the teams will be swapping over to make the different rockets. I want to have a go with one of the Rockets with the parachutes!
Meet and pick up from the Hut 7-9pm and wear outdoor clothing.

Explorers this week (Wednesday 8th May) we are ROCKET MAKING!
Small rockets, Big rockets for target shooting and rockets that go far into the sky...with proper engines!!

Meet at the hut 7-9pm. We will be outside so dress accordingly.

AND...don't forget to bring you Camp in the Sky forms and money with you
